Thank you to Seng Kang Secondary School for inviting me to be part of the year-end teachers’ retreat at Sentosa yesterday! I was glad to share with my fellow teachers how they can rethink the use of Gen AI with today’s powerful tools, and the timing was uncanny, as Google launched Gemini 3 a few hours before my session. As such, I could show off its new prowess in creating useful apps for those of us who do not code.
The teachers then grouped together to work on a fun project, and I was both impressed and amused by the creativity they applied using Google Whisk, Gemini and ChatGPT. We saw how Gen AI often produces generic results, but the teachers mixed in their own passion and humour to make the output unmistakably their own.
