After a great discussion with Alvin Ng yesterday (we’re collaborating on lots of exciting things), I sat down and worked out my perspective on the tiering for Gen AI learning today. Here’s the fun version of my complex table. Most people are still at the first stage of “Augment” and they will be surprised to find out how easy it is to get to “Automate”. The third stage “Orchestrate” takes a lot of time investment and effort to achieve.
FYI, it took me over an hour to experiment with Gemini, Google AI Studio and NotebookLM before I landed on this infographic design. THEN I still had to remove and edit the text in Canva. All these steps require a paid subscription to Google AI and Canva, so there’s no free lunch. That’s actually the next hurdle a lot of people need to jump over: you need to start paying if you’re serious about using AI for the long term.
