You know that I cannot stand seeing pointless selfies on LinkedIn. The irony is that I know how to create nice-looking ones. Here’s how you can use Google Gemini’s latest “nano banana” image-editing capabilities to transform your photo into a “thought leadership selfie”:
- Upload a photo of yourself in the Gemini app. It’s best if the photo has a clean background.
- Write the prompt and try the following boardroom phrases to describe your perfect self: intelligent, contemplative, respectable, assured, poised, executive presence, focused, quietly confident, introspective, a leader, mature, or a changemaker.
- Describe a luxurious scene that will impress other LinkedIn users. Avoid office scenes. Yachts or mountain resorts are good. Obviously, don’t generate famous politicians or celebrities shaking hands with you. Leaders always eat alone.
- BUT add a little contrast – don’t wear a suit and a tie, or an expensive dress. Wear something more relaxed, more down to earth, to show that you don’t buy into materialism or elitism that much. You have to connect with your fans, you know.
