Newsletter 23 – Be still my beating heart

It has not been an easy week as we watch the old world order being ripped to shreds in a matter of days. In my classes and workshops, I often tell people that we’re experiencing the birth pangs of a new Industrial Age and that we need to brace for massive change. Yet, I didn’t expect events to be so ridiculous.

I’m taking a breather from the news this Sunday, so I won’t have to shake my head for the umpteenth time, and imagine dreadful future scenarios. Instead, I’ll be practicing my art – I’ve been sketching and learning art techniques from the AI images I’ve generated. While it’s sad that AI is displacing artists, you can also become a better artist by learning from AI. You might ask what’s the point, but ah, creating IS the point of art.
