As you can see, I gave up trying to come up with today’s newsletter title. I’m writing a dissertation this weekend so my mind is completely choked. Anyway, let’s jump into a recap of the things I wrote about over the past two weeks:
In communication, just do the simplest things.
In the age of Gen AI, you need to be able to generate content, take them apart, and repurpose them for your own use, like the way I design infographics with NotebookLM and Gemini.
We just concluded the inaugural Impact in Southeast Asia (i-SEA) Fellowship Programme, organised by my school Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information and Temasek Foundation. I was glad I could be a part of it as a mentor and judge!
And during the launch of the programme, I shared with a new friend how I take photos.

Ten years ago, I met a fortune teller. But nobody can tell the future, or that I would conduct a Gen AI workshop in Mandarin.
Recently, I’ve been conducting several advanced Gen AI workshops across NTU for different faculties – Nanyang Business School’s marketing group, my colleagues from WKWSCI and the staff and faculty of S Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS). I also got to coach four RSIS brand ambassadors, and this was a special session as I could share my approach to personal and organisational brand building on LinkedIn and other platforms.

I’ve been telling everyone this – buy a PC right now if you need to upgrade. Because prices are going to shoot up next month, if not already.
Check out my really tiny laptop. It’s a really cramped typing experience but I just needed a backup laptop to carry to my Gen AI workshops. Life Pro Tip: Never run an event without any hardware or software backup!!
Another new PC setup of mine is a mini PC coupled with an external GPU. This one is for the office.
