WKWSCI is now 4th in the world rankings

My alma mater and my place of teaching, the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU), is now ranked 4th in the world for Communication and Media Studies!

This accolade comes from the 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject, which covers 1,500 institutions worldwide. Our school was ranked 6th in the world in the previous ranking exercise.

NTU was Singapore’s most represented institution with 45 subject entries, of which 10 were in the world’s top 10. These included subjects like materials science and three engineering disciplines.

130,000 academics listed institutions which they considered to be excellent in research in a given area, and 75,000 employers worldwide were asked to identify institutions they considered excellent for the recruitment of graduates.

I’ve been part of WKWSCI since I started studying there in 1997 and I feel very privileged to be lecturing in a school which has punched way above its weight for many years. Thank you to everyone who made it happen!
