Gen AI Is Just Guessing – an app I made

I’m always surprised that in 2025, many people are still unaware that Gen AI generates text by predicting the next probable word (which is why you cannot fully trust AI, since it is just guessing). For my Gen AI workshops, I’ve been using a clunky demo I built with Google Gemini to demonstrate this concept but I wanted to improve the interface and interactivity.

So, while jogging this morning, I thought of this simple app design. I then created a visual mockup in PowerPoint, uploaded the mockup to Google AI Studio, and iterated for about 15min. You can type any text into the top box and the app will generate the list of probable words along with their percentage probabilities.
