Trying something new today: creating magic potion cards for Gen AI users.
I’ve always been a fan of Getafix from the Asterix comics; he always had a potion for every problem. (And it wasn’t until I was much older that I realized his name was a pun.)
Since my Gen AI coaching involves listening to people’s pain points and coming up with new prompts to help solve their problems, I sometimes feel like a Gaulish druid myself.
Anyway, here’s my first potion. A workshop participant asked me how to use ChatGPT for live translation while traveling overseas, so I showed her how to do it on the ChatGPT app. You do need a ChatGPT subscription to use Advanced Voice on the mobile app.
Say to ChatGPT: “Translate to English when you hear Chinese, and translate to Chinese when you hear English.”
Change the languages to suit your translation needs. Try it and let me know how it works. You will need to iterate on the spoken prompt if ChatGPT doesn’t behave.
